Can anyone tell me if this has any relation to Alzheimer’s disease? Or what it could possibly be?

My grandmother has been in a nursing home as a vegetable basically for about 3 years now. I went to see her tonight and her pupils were different sizes. The one on her right was very tiny and the one on the left was larger (not huge, but it was a noticeable difference) Does anyone know if this has any relation to Alzheimer’s Disease? I am sure she is in the later stages.

That is a sign of a concusion. (Head injury). It may have been recent. How long has it been like this? Immediate medical attention may be wise. Other wise internal bleeding may esculate. You should have been notified if it was witnessed by a nursing assistant. Don’t ask any questions to the staff, take her to the hospital. Don’t tell the hospital staff where she came from. Go quickly.

Did you report it to the nurse? Personally I have never heard of it. She may have had a stroke and in her condition no one would have caught it.

It sounds like she may have had a stroke. If she is in the Late stages of Alzheimer’s then she would need a CT to verify the diagnosis. But in her condition I don’t see why they would do that. They wouldn’t treat it any way with her in this condition. I am assuming that she is a DNR.
