Do Multi vitamins help with sinus/cold and flu?

I have just started taking multi vitamin tablets ( started taking them about 5 days ago ).. will they help to get rid of sinus problems in the head? or with cold and flu?

Best Answer: A multivitamin is more preventative, it will help boost your immune system and make it harder for you to get sick in the future. I've got chronic sinus/bronchitis issues, and have found that taking medicines preventatively is the best way to keep it under control. I have severe issues, but some if not all of these things will help you. B-12 helps keep you well Vitamin C in large doses, the wafers will help you feel better zinc tablets mucinex extra strength, the regular tabs not the decongestant ones, I take this twice a day everyday, especially during high pollen months. This is an expectorant, it will thin mucus making it easier to expel. benadryl 1 capsule at night 25mg. This will dry up some of that secretions and relieve sinus pressure, also it helps you sleep ocean, otc nasal saline spray, this lubricates the mucus membranes and helps prevent nosebleeds from dry weather and sinus pressure ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺ recommend all of the above for you unless contraindicated for some reason I also use genteal otc eyedrops for chronic dry eye irritation, red eyes, itchy eyes, watery eyes etc. Its preservative free. I use 2x/day 1 drop each eye. The mucinex and benadryl are drying, plus I fight with chronic dry eye issues anyway. I use the moderate, it comes in mild also. I take prescription symbicort-its an inhaler opening up the lungs keeps bronchitis at bay preventil-rescue inhaler, asthma nebulizer-albuterol helps break up secretions in the lungs veramyst-prescription nasal spray decreases inflammation and opens up the nose making breathing easy I like this one, nasacort is good too. the codeine cough syrup to fight post nasal drip You may benefit from a prescription nasal spray like veramyst or nasacort

No. But it is a good idea to take one every day anyway.
