An insurance broker. They can show you all the plans, they deal with this everyday, they can help you at claim time, and they’re free to use.

A local agent – local to you. http://www.iiaa.org to locate an agent near you.

Use a broker. Call 2-3 at first, and you might be able to find online ratings of who has a good reputation and who doesn’t. Once you find one who you think is the most honest and best to work with, have him or her find you a plan.

Don’t rule out the HSA option. It is a health savings account combined with a higher deductible plan. If you are relatively healthy, it could save you a pile of money due to lower premiums.

Your best bet would be to get a free quote. That way you can price them all, and get the best deal, because the price varies based on your health. I will put the link for the quote in my source.

Roko – As others have stated, use a broker. To be more specific, though, find a broker in your area who specializes in health insurance plans for individuals. Go to NAHU.org (see below) to find one near you; NAHU is the professional association of brokers (like me) who specialize in health insurance.
