I am suffering chronic pain two years after my second dental implant and have to take Neurontin (Gabapentin) 3 times per day to suppress it. My dentist and a neurologist say that this is probably caused by nerve damage. How common is this? What percentage of implants result in this kind of problem?
Best Answer: You really should not have a chronic pain after implants. If your dentist and neurologist have confirmed that it is due to nerve damage, it is my opinion you need to have the implant taken out and hope you rid this chronic pain.Are you experiencing some numbness? I would get a second opinion on why you are still having chronic pain. Hope this helped.
