Are there any other additional exercise that tone your arms BESIDES push ups? My upper body strength is ridiculously pitiful. Help pleeeease!
Best Answer: Getting the health/body you want will take dedication and consistency. There doesn't seem to be a best plan for everyone, but there is something that will benefit you specifically. You just have to keep trying different things until you find what works, then stick with it until you get the results you want. Why don’t you like them? And did you mean pushups in the first question?
If you’re just embarrassed that you can’t do that many, then that should motivate you to do more of them!
I stopped doing pushups because it got boring. After 50 or 60 pushups, it’s just repetitive and annoying, so you switch things up to make it more challenging.
Arm curls with dumb bells are great for buidling upperbody strength. There aren’t too many upperbody exercises you can do without weights, but you could always do pushups from your knees instead of your toes until you start to get the strength.
water aerobics is the best. or even just swimming. its a great exercise
Hi.. Its best to get with Personal Trainers, their specialised services really work well..
I think to tone your arms and build strength in your upper body, sit ups may not be the appropriate ones to get results……
To tone, strengthen and slim your arms (and upper body), it’s more effective to workout your triceps and biceps muscles which are the 2 most important muscle groups of your arms.
I’ve followed these biceps and triceps routines which help me sculpt, firm and build lean muscle mass into my arms (but don’t bulk them up):
Biceps: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/bicep-exercises.html
Triceps: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/triceps-exercise.html
Workout 3-4 times per week for say 10-15 minutes per session. You’ll see firmer and leaner arms taking shape in about 8 weeks.
BTW, if there’s excess fat in your arms, doing a round of cardio exercise (walking, swimming, running….) 3-4 times per week for at least 30 minutes per session help to burn off the excess fat from your entire body (which naturally includes the excess fat in your arms), to lose the fat and weight.
