What are the physical effects of anxiety and stress?

Can somebody give me a list of physical effects of anxiety and stress such as fatigue, rashes, etc. I’ve had rashes, dry skin, fatique, sore throats, colds, and weak joints, and more during the last 3 months, and i want to know if these are normal symptoms for people under stress and anxiety.

Best Answer: I would like to know the answer to this as well. I believe that i have some pretty bad anxiety problems going on right now that just feeds my paranoia about my health. I am constantly symptoms checking everything and i constantly think something is wrong with me.i believe anxiety can bring things onto you by lowering your bodies immune response or by overstimulating certain brain channels. For me, I might feel fine right up to the time i start worrying about a particular illness - then i begin to notice itching, soreness, stiffness and aches - all of which i connect and attribute to this one problem that I may be experiencing.May i take a leap of faith an assume you are paranoid about an STD, maybe HIV? your 'symptoms' sound similiar to mine, and that is what i constantly worry about.Just take note next time of when the symptoms begin occuring, you will probably realise that they begin when you start worrying and fade when you dont think about them.Remember - most of the time you have nothing seriously wrong with you and you ahve nothing to worry about. Try to break up your symptoms and attribute them to the lifestyle factors that are influencing them, rather than conglomerate them into one massive illness thats going to kill you.Sorry for the long post - just had a lot to say....

    what’s causing your stress?

Stress is worse than a Big Mac on your heart!

You have to find some way to release your tension. I MAKE myself get on my elliptical when I feel stressed. I MAKE myself take deep cleansing breaths that really release tension.

My body seems to suffer from stress in the form of feeling lethargic and my shoulders feel like they are carrying the weight of the world on them. That is when I know i need to work out to release some tension and endorphins to improve my stress level 100%. I, also, find that this helps me sort through whats stressing me out to start with.

    hope this helps…

I am with peppermintpatty. There are N number of symptoms with all permutations & combination, the severity differs from person to person as well as the stage of your illness. But once you decide you have to get out of that rut & you take serious steps, no one can stop you living the life of your dream. A strong positive mental attitude can create more miracles than any magic pill.

Try downloading meditation audio files. The best technique I know is to listen to them while focusing on the way your breath is. The way it goes in and out, and not paying attention to any other thought that crosses your mind. Meditation and breathing go together and relieve stress quickly. If want more information on it- here you go : http://blog.health-sex-money.com/
