I’m well into an effective workout programme, but have found the reverse lunge exercise really doesn’t suit me. Does anybody know a good exercise, either with a machine or holding free weights, that works the same muscle groups?
Best Answer: I find walking up hills is so much better then anything else, also walking up hills going backwards

How about walking lunges? Squats? One-legged squats?

The be-all-end-all exercise for your whole body with an emphasis on legs and glutes would be the squat. Go all the way to the floor and get your butt into the grass. If performed with good form, they will not hurt your knees. You can also do walking lunges.
