We are making an abstract film that at one scene has a boy who is a lot younger, and then we are having about a minute in between of aging. We are going to have a time lapse of a clock, but need a lot of other ideas to show that he is growing up, and time is going by.

If you have lighting from the side it will produce larger shadows on the face. This will make any sort of small facial features stand out. Things that one expects to see on a childs face as he grows will “stand out” more
