When do I do a self Breast Exam and how often?

I just did one on the 25th of last month I marked it down on the calender to keep track. I did one and felt nothing … So should I do it on the 25th of this month?

Best Answer: Do it the week following your period. Don't forget to check the armpits too for swollen lymph nodes. Continue to check every month, that way you notice any small difference or sore spots. Start at the nipple and do small circles with the tips of 2 fingers, continue to go in a circle moving outward and around until you check the entire breast. If you feel a small lump mark it with a pen then recheck it in a day or two. Sometimes the breasts get lumpy feeling from your cycle. If the lump remains consult your doctor for a mammogram.
