When getting off of birth control, did you have bladder problems?

I just recently (well about 2 1/2 weeks ago) got off my birth control. I have been having bladder problems. Not full blown infections, but it feels like one is coming on, then I flush it out. Everyday is like this. When I was prego with my daughter my infections were bad too. So either “A” this is from my body adjusting from getting off of birth control or “B” I’m prego. What do you think? Has this happened to you before?

Best Answer: No I had no bladder problems. I did have pregnancy symptoms bad when i got off of birth control, nausea, headaches, cramping, tender breast but it turns out it was just my body adjusting without the hormones. I think you should contact your doctor and have your bladder infection checked out.

You could have cystitis unrelated to an infection – that is inflammation do to reactions to something you are eating or taking. Please go see your doctor for a referral to an urologist to see what’s happening.

I’m not trying to be mean & ask if you keep yourself clean… I’m sure you know to do that. The only issue with my bladder I had after stopping birth control was needing to pee more frequently. It was because I had gotten an ovarian cyst that was right up against my bladder. Try drinking some cranberry juice.
